The goal is to enhance and harmonize the face.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lip surgery is also performed to <strong>correct congenital deformities, injuries, or poorly executed procedures<\/strong>. In the past, silicone was used in this surgery, but it was later found to cause bulging. The procedure typically <strong>lasts between 40 minutes to an hour<\/strong>, depending on whether it is primary or secondary surgery.<\/p>\n<p>For lip augmentation, there are several techniques available, and <strong>implants are generally easy to handle, with most being injected<\/strong>. The most common materials used include methacrylate, polyacrylamide, hydroxyapatite, polyalkylimide, collagen, thread lifts, and hyaluronic acid.
