BENEFITS

The Mini Facelift offers significant advantages over a full facelift or deep plane facelift, given that since the treated area is smaller, the recovery is shorter. One technique or a more extensive surgery is neither better nor worse, but will depend on the needs of each patient and the plastic surgeon's diagnosis. The result of the mini facelift will always respect the patient's natural expression, the jaw contour is improved, the nasolabial folds are softened, and achieves a rejuvenated but natural appearance.

POST-OPERATORY

After a Mini Facelift, the bandages are removed after 24 hours and replaced by a small facial compression garment designed to stabilize the tissues in their new anatomical position and control postoperative edema. This garment is kept on for 7 to 15 days, depending on the individual patient's progress. Stitches are usually removed between days 8 and 10. Being minimally invasive, one of the main advantages of the Mini Facelift is its quick recovery; the patient can present a socially acceptable appearance in just 48 to 72 hours. Depending on the treated area, the scars are hidden in the scalp and behind the ear. If incisions are made in front of the ear due to the needs of the area, our surgeons' intradermal suturing technique makes them practically imperceptible one month after surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a mini facelift and a Deep Plane facelift?

Unlike the Deep Plane facelift, which treats facial and neck aging more extensively by acting on deep tissues, the mini facelift is indicated when sagging is primarily concentrated in one area and such an extensive facial surgery is not necessary.

Who is a mini facelift suitable for?

It is suitable for patients with mild to moderate, localized skin laxity who do not yet require a more extensive facelift procedure.

Can it be performed under local anesthesia?

In certain cases, it can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation, depending on the technique, the extent of the procedure, and the patient’s individual characteristics.

Will the results look natural?

The goal is to reposition the tissues without altering the patient’s facial features, helping them look more rested and defined while still maintaining their natural appearance.

Our medical team will advise you on the treatment that best suits you, the surgical process, the possible risks and everything you need to know before facing such an important decision.
