Valeria Lukyanova, 23, with long blonde hair like the original Barbie, a very slim waist and a large bust, flew from her hometown in Ukraine to New York to meet Jedlica Justin, 32, who has the look of Ken, for an upcoming episode of ‘Inside Edition’. However, the two did not get along and, bluntly, the Ukrainian said after their date: “He has overdone his lips”. According to international media, the couple “hated each other’s look”. Jedlica and Lukyanova had never met before their television appearance, although they did know of each other’s existence. Last November, Jedlica told ‘The Huffington Post’ his opinion of her: “It seems to me that a lot of her look is added by makeup, fake hair and ‘corset’ slimming.
‘Drag queens’ have been creating the same illusions with makeup and costumes for years”. Lukyanova hit back, explaining her point of view to ‘The Sun’: “Justin has said bad things about me, but he had more than 90 operations, while I only had one. I’m not hiding that I’ve had plastic surgery. I have breast implants because I want to be perfect. It would be better not to comment on who is plastic and who isn’t. I think he is a handsome man, but he has overdone his lips”.
Jedlica rose to fame last year when it became known that he had spent $100,000 on different treatments and surgeries to change his body. This year marked his 100th time in the operating room. “I’ve always undergone plastic surgery because it’s an extension of my creative self,” he said during an interview on the TV show Doctors.
His operations include five rhinoplasties, a reshaping of the brow bone and augmentations of the cheeks, lips, buttocks and chin. He had his first operation when he was 18, a nose job. As for why he aspires to look like a plastic doll, Jedlica explains that “children play with Barbie and Ken all the time, so that feeds us from a very young age about what is beautiful”.
Valeria Lukyanova, for her part, made the news last autumn after posting a series of homemade videos on YouTube revealing that her proportions were like those of her dolls. To look more like Barbie, she wears blue contact lenses over her naturally green eyes. She also admits that she has breast implants. However, she insists that the rest of her body is completely natural and slim thanks to daily gym workouts. Makeup and tiny outfits complete her look.
